About

A childcare agency founded by a nanny.

Three Peas was founded by somebody who provided childcare, for ten years, for every kind of household there is.

Three Peas in a Pod is a Denver childcare agency founded in 2025 by Patrece Hodge, who has worked as a nanny since 2016. Every caregiver passes a criminal background check and a driving record check, holds current CPR and First Aid, has references checked, and is interviewed in person by her. It is one person and the caregivers she has vetted, not a franchise.

Ten years on the other side of the front door

Patrece grew up in Cincinnati and started looking after other people's children at seventeen. She has since been the babysitter, the part-time nanny, the full-time nanny, the mother's helper, the family assistant and the house manager.

In New York she balanced modeling, childcare and college, and at one point supported four families at once. She has worked with first-time parents, with growing households, and in 2022 with an NFL family, the year the Bengals went to the Super Bowl. She still nannies for a family in Platt Park.

When everyone plays their part, the kids win, which means we all win.

Patrece Hodge, founder

Why she started it

She kept watching the same thing happen from the inside. Families, especially first-time nanny employers, had no idea where to start: what to pay, what to put in writing, what happens about taxes, what is normal to ask for. And good caregivers were left to negotiate contracts, hours and expectations alone.

Three Peas was founded in 2025 to stand between those two and make the arrangement a fair one. That is why the prices are published, why every caregiver is checked before a family ever meets them, and why nobody here will tell a nanny to accept less than the work is worth.

  • Career nanny since 2016
  • Four families at once in New York
  • Nannied for an NFL family in 2022

Three things we do differently

The prices are on the website

Every fee we charge is published. You should not have to call anyone to find out what childcare costs.

The checking happens first

Background, driving record, certifications, references and a personal interview happen before a caregiver is ever offered to a family, not after you have picked one.

What we check

One person answers

No franchise, no call center, no ticket number. When you text 720.245.5048, Patrece is the one who reads it.

What "vetted" means here

Every caregiver, before they meet a family.

  • Full caregiver profile sent to you before every booking
