Three Peas in a Pod
Terms
What we do, what we charge and what we ask of you, written to be read. Using the site, requesting care or applying to work with us means you agree to this page.

What we do
Three Peas in a Pod is a private childcare agency in Denver, Colorado. We find, vet and match sitters and nannies with families. We are the introduction and the coordination: the care itself is given by the caregiver, in your home, on terms you and they agree.
Nothing is booked until we confirm it. Sending a request through the site, by text or by phone starts a conversation; a booking exists when we have told you who is coming and when.
For families
- Tell us the truth about what the job involves: the children, their ages and needs, pets, the address, the hours. A caregiver decides whether to take a job on what you tell us.
- You pay your sitter or nanny directly, at an hourly rate you agree on with them. Our fees cover the vetting, matching and coordination, not the caregiver's pay.
- For a nanny placement, you are the nanny's employer, and household employment comes with payroll and tax duties. We point families to HomePay for that; using them is your choice.
Fees
The prices on this site are the prices. If one changes, it changes here first and does not apply to anything already booked.

Changes and cancelling
- Memberships run until you cancel, by email, text or phone. A cancelled membership runs to the end of the period you have paid for.
- Membership bookings can be cancelled free with 48 hours' notice. Inside 48 hours, call or text us as early as you can: a sitter has set the time aside for you.
- Placements include a trial period, two weeks for a part-time nanny and three for full-time. If either side wants to change course during the trial, we find a replacement at no further fee.
- If a caregiver has to cancel, we tell you as soon as we know and look for someone else. We cannot promise one will be free.
For caregivers
- Applying costs nothing.
- What you tell us has to be true and yours: your experience, your references, your certificates. Joining the network depends on passing a background check and a driving record check, run with your written authorization, and on keeping CPR and First Aid current.
- A job is yours when we confirm it to you. If you cannot make a job you took, tell us at once, by phone if it is the same day.
- What you learn in a family's home stays there.
- The family pays you directly at the rate agreed for the job.
Text messages
Three Peas in a Pod booking and job texts. If you agree to texts on one of our forms, text us first, or say yes when we ask while you book by phone, we send messages about the care you asked for or the work you signed up for. Families: booking confirmations, who your sitter is, reminders and changes. Caregivers: job offers, booking details, schedule questions and certification reminders.
- Message frequency varies with how often you book or work.
- Message and data rates may apply, according to your phone plan.
- Reply STOP to any message to stop them. You get one message confirming it and then no more. Reply START to turn them back on.
- Reply HELP for help, or reach a person on 720.245.5048 or [email protected].
- Agreeing to texts is never a condition of buying anything. A family who does not agree is called instead. For caregivers, jobs are offered by text and taken by reply, so texts are part of being on the roster.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

What we can and cannot promise
We promise the vetting described on this site: every caregiver we send has passed a criminal and county-level background check and a driving record check, holds current CPR and First Aid, has had references checked and has been interviewed in person. We promise to tell you who is coming before they arrive.
No check can promise how a person will act on a given day, and you remain the one who decides whether a caregiver is right for your family. The care happens in your home, and we are not there to supervise it. To the extent the law allows, our liability for anything arising from our service is limited to the fees you paid us for the booking or placement in question. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
