Both totals are for an evening booked at least two days ahead. Booking inside 24 hours adds $28, and under four hours adds $42, for members too, when a sitter is available.
The two nights to book early
New Year's Eve and Valentine's Day are the busiest nights for sitters. Book two to four weeks ahead if your date falls on either one.

Questions parents ask
Can I book a sitter without a membership?
Yes. A one-time booking is a flat $32 booking fee, with the same vetted sitters. If you find yourself booking more than once a month, a membership costs less.
How fast can you find someone?
Members book with 48 hours' notice on Pea Sprout, Pea Pod members are matched first, when a sitter is available, and Pea Patch members get same-day care when available, with top priority. Members do not pay the booking fee. A short-notice or same-day booking carries an added fee for everyone, members included, listed with our prices. If you need someone today, call rather than use the form.
Do I get to interview the sitter first?
Not for babysitting. We have already done the screening, and you receive the sitter's full profile and contact details before every booking. For nanny placements, yes: you interview your top candidates and choose your person.
What is the babysitting membership?
A monthly membership that keeps a vetted sitter within reach for date nights, appointments and work events. Pea Pod is $45 a month (up to 8 care requests a month), or $450 for the year. Go out about once a month? Pea Sprout is $30 a month (up to 4 care requests a month), or $300 for the year. Need care often, or at short notice? Pea Patch is $65 a month (unlimited care requests, same-day care when available, top priority matching), or $650 for the year. You pay the sitter directly for their hours.
