For sitters and nannies

You show up for them. We show up for you.

Whether you want one family to call your own or shifts you can pick up on your own terms, there is a place for you here. We read every application ourselves, because we have done this job and know what it is worth.

About three minutes. We answer within two business days. Looking for a particular family? See the open roles.

We get it.

  • The new placement jitters.
  • The family that means well but leans on you a little too much.
  • The Sunday night dread.
  • The paycheck that is three days late with no explanation.

We have been there. This agency was built by someone who lived all of it, so you do the work you love and we handle the parts that have nothing to do with the kids. We walk you through every interview and stay in your corner long after the placement starts.

Two ways to work with us.

Pick one on the form, or tell us you are open to both.

A placement of your own

One family, matched to your experience, your schedule and your values.

Part-time, full-time or a nanny share. Structured hours, a contract, paid on the books.

The sitter network

Pick up shifts when they suit you. Date nights, weekend cover, fill-in care. You set your availability and we bring you the families.

Flexible gig work: no guaranteed hours, no PTO, no employment contract. You are paid directly at a rate you agree on.

What you can expect from us.

  • Work that matches your experience and your availability
  • An advocate for fair market rate pay
  • Clear expectations in writing before every placement
  • Support for the whole length of the placement, not just the first week
  • Someone who picks up the phone

And what we ask.

  • 18 or older, and legally able to work in the US
  • At least a year of professional childcare experience
  • Current CPR and First Aid, or willing to certify before your first booking
  • Reliable transportation and a clean driving record
  • Happy to pass a background and motor vehicle record check
  • Two professional references we can call

Not quite there yet? Apply anyway and say so. A certificate is a week's work; the way you are with children is not.

Open roles

Families looking right now.

We have spoken with every family here. Some roles never make it to this list: they go to someone already in the network.

Part-time nanny

  • Capitol Hill
  • Part-time, 12 hrs a week
  • $27 to $32/hr
  • Starts as soon as possible
  • Apply by October 26

A lovely Cap Hill family is seeking a warm, reliable part-time nanny for their two sweet boys. This is a wonderful fit for a nanny who has afternoons and evenings free, or who cares for another family during the morning and is looking to add consistent part-time hours.

Questions sitters and nannies ask

How do I join the Three Peas network?

Apply with the form on this page, or call or text 720.245.5048. The form takes about three minutes and is read by a person. If it looks like a fit, we set up a call to hear about your experience, your availability and what you are looking for.

What are the requirements?

You need to be legally able to work in the US, with at least a year of professional childcare experience, reliable transportation and a clean driving record. Everyone passes a background check and a motor vehicle record check, gives two professional references we can call, and holds current CPR and First Aid, or certifies before their first booking.

What pay and benefits can I expect?

We advocate for market-rate pay and proper benefits for every nanny we place: guaranteed hours, paid time off, sick days, paid federal holidays, and mileage where it applies. Benefits are agreed between you and the family before the start date and written into the placement agreement. Sitters in Denver usually earn $25 to $35 an hour, paid directly by the family.

Can I pick up babysitting as well as a placement?

Yes. Nannies in the network are invited to join the sitter network too. It is voluntary, you set your own availability, and it is a good way to earn more on your own schedule.

What support do you give once I am placed?

We stay available for the whole length of a placement, for check-ins, questions and the conversations that are hard to have alone. We also introduce the nannies in the network to each other. You are part of the pod, and we mean that.
